Ramona, The Ram-Riding Healer Blocker: Healing Denial & Fiend Spam
Overview
Ramona is a 5-star Dark (Purple) hero from the Champions family, originally released in early 2024. She rides into battle on a giant ram, which is certainly a choice, bringing a kit focused on Very Fast single-target damage and extreme healing denial.
While she was once considered a top-tier sniper, the rapid power creep of late 2024 and 2025 has left her stat-line looking a bit like a "Classic" hero compared to the modern behemoths. However, her unique mechanic—summoning three healing-absorbing fiends on a single target—scales with the enemy's health, keeping her mechanically relevant even if her biceps aren't as big as they used to be.

Hero Art & Visuals
Ramona's artwork is... distinct. She features a jockey-style outfit, complete with a helmet, riding a very enthusiastic-looking ram. It's a fun, quirky departure from the usual "edgy dark sorcerer" or "undead knight" aesthetic of the Purple element. The "Ram Turismo" vibe (as nicknamed by the community) adds a bit of levity to your roster, even if the look isn't for everyone.

Hero Stats
Stat Analysis & Modern Benchmarks: Here is the hard truth: Ramona's stats are severely outdated.
- Ramona (LB2): ~1259 Attack / ~1310 Defense / ~2176 Health.
- Modern 2025 Heroes (LB2): ~1600+ Attack / ~1600+ Defense / ~2800+ Health.
She is effectively fighting with a 300-400 point deficit in every stat category compared to the latest releases. This makes her "squishy" by modern standards. She will struggle to survive hits from modern snipers and her direct damage won't dent the 1600+ defense of new tanks. However, her HP pool is decent enough that she isn't made of complete glass, but you shouldn't expect her to tank hits like she used to.
Special Skill: Three Little Rams
Analysis: The skill "Three Little Rams" is a Very Fast ability that does two things:
- Direct Damage: Deals 450% damage to one target.
- Fiend Summon: Summons three separate Ram Fiends on that target.
The direct damage is secondary now. 450% off a ~1200 attack stat is merely a "tickle" to modern heroes with 1600 defense. The Real Power lies in the Fiends.
- She summons 3 Fiends at once on a single target.
- Each fiend absorbs healing equal to 45% of the owner's Max HP.
- Total Healing Absorb: 3 x 45% = 135% of the target's Max HP.
This is huge. If you hit a modern tank with 3000 HP, they now have to heal 4,050 HP before they can see a single green number on their health bar (unless they have a specific fiend removal skill). Effectively, Ramona permanently blocks healing on her target for the remainder of the match unless a specific counter (like Arco or Esme) is used.
By the Numbers
- Mana Speed: Very Fast (6.5 tiles).
- With a lvl 11 Mana Troop (or any combination reaching +9%), she charges in 6 tiles. This is incredibly easy to achieve.
- With her passive (+5% mana on fiend summon) and family bonus, she can sometimes charge even faster in subsequent turns.
- Healing Denial Calculation:
- Target Max HP: 3,000 (Common for LB2 modern heroes)
- Healing Absorb per Fiend: 1,350 HP
- Total Absorb: 4,050 HP.
- Result: The target is effectively "Healing Immune" until they die or the fiends are cleansed.
- Damage Potential:
- Direct: 450% x 1259 Attack = ~5,665 raw damage value (before defense reduction). Against 1600 Def, this will hit for maybe 500-600 damage.
- Fiend DoT: 3 fiends x 40% = 120% attack per turn. This is a nice bonus whittle, but won't kill anyone quickly.
Family Bonus, Passives, Aether Power & Unique Abilities
Family Bonus
Analysis: The Champions family bonus gives pure Attack. With +35%/+50% attack, Ramona can claw back some of the stat deficit, helping her fiends hit a bit harder and her snipe sting a bit more. It's a simple but effective stat stick.
Passives
Analysis:
- Mana on Ailment: Gaining +24% mana gen when receiving an ailment is fantastic. In a meta full of debuffs, this ensures she charges in 5 or even 4 ghosted tiles often.
- Health Boost on Fiend Summon: Gaining 300 Boosted Health when anyone (including herself) summons a fiend is great for her survival. Since she summons fiends, she guarantees herself a 300 HP heal every time she fires (limited to once per turn).
- Mana on Fiend Summon: Gaining 5% mana when a fiend is summoned helps cycle her skill.
Aether Power
Analysis: Attack Up. This gives a nice +20% attack boost at the start of the battle. It synergizes well with her desire to hit hard early, but doesn't offer the survival (Damage Reduction/Revive) she desperately needs in the current meta.
Legacy & Modern Relevance
- Historical Context: Upon release, Ramona was a terror. "Ram Turismo" was a valid strategy, locking down key threats like Mother North or various tanks with un-healable fiends.
- Power Creep: Her stats have fallen off a cliff compared to the "Construct", "Astral", and "Dragon" heroes. She is no longer a primary damage dealer.
- Modern Viability Verdict: Niche / Situational. She is no longer a general-purpose sniper. You bring Ramona for one specific job: To shut down a high-value target that relies on healing (like a taunting tank or a reviver). If you can keep her alive long enough to fire once or twice, she can neutralize a key enemy. However, she is a liability on defense and risky on offense due to her low survivability.
Emblem Path Analysis
The Glass Cannon (Attack Path)
- Path: Attack > Defense > Health
- Pros: Maximizes the damage of her snipe and, more importantly, the DoT of her fiends.
- Cons: She is extremely fragile and might die before firing.
The Survivalist (Defense Path)
- Path: Defense > Health > Attack
- Pros: Keeps her alive longer to fire her skill multiple times. Since her main utility is the effect of the fiends (healing absorb), not the damage, this ensures she actually delivers the payload.
- Cons: Her direct damage becomes negligible.
Final Recommendation
For modern play, the Defense/Health (Survivalist) path is recommended. Ramona's value is her utility (healing block). If she dies to a stiff breeze in turn 2, she does nothing. You need her to survive incidental AoE damage long enough to cast her skill on the enemy Healer/Tank.
Strengths
- Ultimate Healing Denial: 135% Max HP healing absorb is practically insurmountable.
- Very Fast Speed: Charges in 6 tiles, allowing her to snipe a threat before they get going.
- Self-Sustain: Heals herself for 300 boosted HP every time she fires.
- Good Passives: Punishes enemies for placing ailments on her.
Weaknesses
- Outdated Stats: Extremely low stats compared to 2025/2026 heroes.
- Fiend Counters: Heroes like Arco, Esme, or Cleansers with Minion Summoning (which displace fiends) completely nullify her kit.
- Single Target: Only affects one enemy. In a rush meta, hitting one enemy might not be enough.
Best Game Modes
- War Attack: Excellent for neutralizing a specific annoying tank or healer in a tailored attack team.
- Tournaments (Rush): Even faster firing means she can lock down a hero immediately.
- Tournaments (Buff Booster): Her speed allows her to pick off targets.
- NOT Bloody Battle: The healing absorb is useless since healing is already disabled, though the extra damage from fiends is okay.
Advanced Strategy & Team Compositions
Sample Team Ideas
- The "Fiend Overload" Team:
- Composition: Ramona - Viscaro - Senan - ...
- Strategy: Overwhelm the enemy with so many fiends that they cannot heal at all. Ramona picks off the cleanser/healer first.
- The "Protect the Queen" Team:
- Composition: Ludwig/Krampus - Ramona - Healer...
- Strategy: Use a Taunt hero to protect Ramona's low stats. Let her charge up and surgically remove the enemy's ability to sustain themselves.
Counters & Anti-Synergies
- Arco / Wang Yuanji: Convert fiends into minions. Hitting a team with Arco using Ramona is effectively giving the enemy free health.
- Esme / Gaillard: Specifically destroy fiends.
- Mega Minions: Mega Minions often block or interact poorly with fiends, and newer heroes with "Immunity to Fiends" passives are a hard stop.
Advice for New Players
If you pulled Ramona, congratulations! Even with older stats, she is a game-changer for map stages and early raiding. Being able to stop a boss from healing is an incredible tool for finishing hard PvE content. Level her up, but maybe hold off on Limit Breaking her until you are sure you need her for Wars.
Advice for Veterans
Ramona is a "luxury tool" at this point. Do not use her on Defense—she will be farmed. On offense, she is a silver bullet against teams relying heavily on a single healer (like a super-tanky Toon Vivica). If you struggle against heavy stall/heal teams, she is worth the roster slot, but likely not worth the Alpha Aethers unless you really love the art.
Community Corner: Hot Takes & History
- "Ram Turismo alone sold me. She and Grimble are best buddies." - A fan of the unique naming and synergy.
- "She is broken... spawning 3 fiends each hitting really hard... B-R-O-K-E-N" - A common sentiment upon her release, highlighting how oppressive 135% healing absorb felt at the time.
- "Definitely the worst of new sport legends." - A dissenter from the early days, proving you can't please everyone (though history proved her utility was strong).
Final Thoughts
Ramona is the definition of a "mechanic-heavy" hero. Her stats have faded into the background, but the sheer audacity of summoning three healing-sponges onto a single enemy ensures she still has a seat at the table in deep wars. She isn't the brute force hammer she used to be; she's now the scalpel you use to sever the enemy's lifeline.
Verdict: A niche but powerful tool for your war chest. Keep her for the healers you just can't kill.
