Fated Summon 7: The "Good, The Bad, and The Glitched" Edition

Fated Summon 7 Guide

Overview

The Fated Summon reset for July 21, 2025, has arrived (or is just about to), and it brings a roster that has the community divided. On one hand, we finally have access to the Musketeers and Magic Tower heroes without chasing abysmal portal odds. On the other hand, with the current stats of modern heroes pushing 1300+ power unlimit-broken, many of these options are showing their age.

This refresh was also marked by a chaotic start where a "glitch" allowed a chunk of the player base to claim all 20 heroes instantly—a moment that will surely live in E&P infamy. For the rest of us playing by the rules (or who slept through the chaos), we have 100 summons to fill the bar and a tough choice to make.

This list features heroes from Season 4 (Voyagers of the Underwild), 2023 Heroes of the Month, the Musketeer Family, and the Magic Family. Crucially, none of these heroes come with their costumes, which significantly impacts the value of the Season 4 and Magic options.

The Full List

Here is the lineup for Fated Summon 7:

  • Row 1 (Season 4): Octros, Lughaidh, Exeera, Zekena, Xnolphod
  • Row 2 (HOTM 2023): Skargremar, Cinisia, Areax, Ithar, Uthragan
  • Row 3 (Musketeers): Cardinal Richelieu, Athos, Porthos, Constance, Aramis
  • Row 4 (Magic): Nadezhda, Telonius, Camilla, Vaishali, Becky

Top Picks: The "Must Haves"

If you are looking for immediate impact, these are the heroes that stand the test of time despite the stats gap.

1. Aramis (Musketeer)

Role: Support / Tank / Damage
Why he is #1: Aramis was the king of his meta, and his kit remains incredibly relevant. He provides ailment immunity for 3 turns, which is a hard counter to the endless DoT and status-effect heavy defenses we see today. Combined with a heal (boosted based on damage dealt) and the Musketeer passive "Cover" ability, he keeps your team alive. Even with older stats, his utility is top-tier.

2. Cardinal Richelieu (Musketeer)

Role: Controller / Fiend Summoner
Why he is #2: The Cardinal is a menace. He summons Spy Fiends that not only absorb healing but steal buffs from the enemy at the end of each turn. In a meta full of taunts, dodge, and massive buffs, a passive buff stealer is invaluable. He disrupts the enemy's rhythm simply by existing.

3. Vaishali (Magic)

Role: Utility / Cleanse / Dispel
Why she is #3: Magic heroes are flexible, and Vaishali offers two distinct, high-value tools. On her first charge (Magic speed), she cleanses all allies and gives an attack boost. On her second charge, she dispels all enemies and applies Sand damage. A fast cleanser is always needed for war depth, and her versatility makes her a safe, strong pick.

4. Athos (Musketeer)

Role: Sniper / Minion Destroyer
Why he is #4: Speed kills. Athos is Very Fast, destroys all minions from the target before hitting, and bypasses defensive buffs (including counterattack). He hits hard and fast. While his stats aren't what they used to be, a Very Fast sniper who ignores defense buffs is always useful for picking off threats in Wars or Tournaments.

5. Xnolphod (Season 4)

Role: Healer / Mana Battery
Why he is #5: Even without his costume (which makes him a tank beast), base Xnolphod has a unique niche: Mana Increase. He heals and gives 10% mana to all allies. This mana bump can be the difference between your slow heroes firing or dying. He is a tile manipulator (Dark) as well, making him a staple for Purple stacks.

The "Niche & Utility" Picks

These heroes serve a specific purpose. If you have the Top 5 or specific roster gaps, look here.

  • Zekena (Season 4): A Fast speed yellow sniper who also hits a random second target and applies Defense Down. Excellent for Titans and Mythic Titans due to the defense drop.
  • Porthos (Musketeer): A Slow blue hero who hits all and alters Ice shields. His value lies almost entirely in Blue Titan teams where tile alteration can lead to massive scores.
  • Camilla (Magic): Like Vaishali, she is flexible. Charge 1 boosts health and gives defense against specials. Charge 2 reduces enemy max health. She is a solid support hero, though often overshadowed by more aggressive healers.
  • Ithar (HOTM): A weird but fun hero. Very Fast speed, steals all buffs, and steals mana. She deals no damage, which makes her tricky, but she can completely neuter a taunt hero or a slow nuker if timed right.
  • Telonius (Magic): Great for DoT (Damage over Time) teams. He increases the damage enemies take from status ailments. If you run heroes like Narcisa or heavy bleed/burn/poison dealers, he amplifies their output significantly.

The "Avoid" List

Unless you are a collector or simply love their design, these heroes struggle to find a place in the modern game.

  • Exeera (Season 4): Often cited as one of the worst 5-star heroes. Her mechanic relies on heavy tile presence to do damage, and it's easily cleansed or blocked. Even community tests often skip her because she offers so little threat.
  • Lughaidh (Season 4): He goes into "Ghost" form, healing himself and boosting ally defense, but he does nothing offensive. In today's fast-paced meta, a passive hero who just "survives" while his team dies around him is often a liability.
  • Most HOTMs (Row 2): Skargremar, Areax, and Uthragan suffer from "average" syndrome. Their stats were average on release, and now they are low. Skargremar's accuracy debuff is okay, and Areax hits decently hard if he can chain, but they don't bring the unique utility of the Musketeers or Magic heroes.
  • Becky (Magic): Her first charge is weak (damage + conditional mana cut), and her second charge (very slow effectively) relies on allies casting skills to deal damage. It's too much setup for too little payoff compared to other purples.

Breakdown by Family

The Musketeers (Row 3)

Verdict: The Gold Mine. This is easily the strongest row in this Fated Summon. The Musketeer passive (Cover) provides damage mitigation and counter-damage, which is excellent for survivability. Aramis, Richelieu, and Athos are arguably better than any hero in the other rows. If you are undecided, pick from this row.

The Magic Family (Row 4)

Verdict: High Utility. The Magic family passive (chance to deal damage or drop mana stacks) is subtle but annoying. The real value here is the Magic Speed (Charge 1). Having heroes that can fire in 5-6 tiles to cleanse (Vaishali) or heal (Camilla) is vital for War attacks. They require more finesse to use than the Musketeers but offer great depth.

Season 4 (Row 1)

Verdict: Outdated without Costumes. Season 4 heroes have fallen behind significantly. Without their costumes (which boost stats and update skills), most are hard to justify. Xnolphod and Zekena are the exceptions due to their specific utility (Mana/Def Down). Octros is a decent damage dealer but requires a heavy red board to shine, making him inconsistent compared to modern nukers.

Heroes of the Month 2023 (Row 2)

Verdict: The Weakest Link. HOTMs generally have lower stats and simpler skills than event heroes. Ithar is the only one with a truly unique mechanic (Mana Steal) that can't be found easily elsewhere. Cinisia offers healing reduction, which can be useful, but generally, this row offers the least value for your precious 100 summons.

Emblem & Strategy Tips for the Winners

Aramis

  • Emblem Path: Defense/Health. You want him to survive to cast his immunity. His damage is secondary to his buff.
  • Synergy: Pairs beautifully with slow heroes or healers. His "Cover" passive protects squishier allies.

Cardinal Richelieu

  • Emblem Path: Attack/Defense. His fiend damage scales off attack, and you want those fiends biting hard.
  • Synergy: Great against heavy buffers like Arco, Hathor, or Ludwig.

Xnolphod

  • Emblem Path: Defense/Health. He is a tank/support. His job is to live and feed mana.
  • Synergy: Put him next to slow rush heroes (like Alfrike or Khufu) to bridge the gap in mana generation.

Final Recommendation

  1. If you don't have Aramis: Pick Aramis. He is a game-changer for roster depth.
  2. If you have Aramis: Pick Cardinal Richelieu. He makes fighting buff-heavy teams fun.
  3. If you need a cleanser: Pick Vaishali.
  4. If you need a sniper: Pick Athos.
  5. If you need a healer/mana booster: Pick Xnolphod.

Community Hot Take: The exclusion of costumes for the older heroes (S4 especially) has been a major point of contention. Many players feel that base Season 4 heroes are simply "food" at this stage of the game. However, for Free-to-Play (F2P) or C2P players, gaining access to the Musketeer passive mechanics is a significant win. Don't let the lack of costumes deter you from grabbing the unique utility provided by the Musketeers and Magic heroes.
