Mechanics & Rules

How the Gem Summon Challenge Works

Follow these essential rules to ensure your gem summons qualify for the guaranteed prize.

Gem Summons Only

Only summons made with Gems in event portals count. Daily Summons, Mystic Summons, and bonus draws do not grant progress.

Fill the Progress Bar

A live progress bar is displayed on both the challenge screen and summon screen showing your performed summons toward the target (e.g. 0/20 or 0/30).

Claim Guaranteed Reward

Once the meter is full, tap CLAIM to trigger your guaranteed 5-star hero or item bundle at 100% drop rate with equal odds.

1 Claim Per Occurrence

After claiming, the challenge closes until the next occurrence. The selection of featured heroes and items rotates each time.

Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:What is the Gem Summon Challenge in Empires & Puzzles?

The Gem Summon Challenge is a special limited-time event that grants a 100% guaranteed reward upon reaching a specified number of Gem summons in event portals. Depending on the occurrence, players receive either a guaranteed 5-star Legendary Hero or a high-value item bundle.

Q:What is the difference between Hero and Item Gem Summon Challenges?

Legendary Hero Challenges feature a pool of 10 five-star heroes with 100% equal odds (10% each) of being summoned when completing 10 to 30 gem summons. Item & Troop Challenges give guaranteed packs of rare materials (such as 10x Alpha Aethers, 5-Star Legendary Troops, 700x Summon Coins, Tomes of XP, or Gems) for 1 to 20 gem summons.

Q:Which summons count toward the challenge progress?

Only summons performed using Gems inside active event summon portals count toward the progress bar. Daily Summons, Mystic Summons, free coin/token draws, and extra bonus draws (such as HotM draws) do NOT grant progress.

Q:Can I choose which Legendary Hero I get?

No. Unlike Soul Exchange or Fated Summon where you pick your favorite hero manually, the Gem Summon Challenge awards one random hero (or item) from the displayed pool of available featured rewards with equal odds.

Q:Does progress carry over between Gem Summon Challenge events?

No. Gem Summon Challenge events are standalone flash events that usually last 24 hours. You must complete the required summons and claim the reward within the active window. Once claimed, the event closes until the next occurrence.

Q:How often do Gem Summon Challenges happen?

Gem Summon Challenges appear periodically (usually 1–2 times per month or during major holiday celebrations). Some occurrences are quick 1-to-3 summon flash deals, while others are high-tier 20 or 30 summon events.
