Siofra: The Gilded Stag That Tramples Healers Before They Wake Up

Overview

Siofra galloped into Empires & Puzzles back in mid-2024 as part of the Clash of Knights event, representing the regal Stag Family. As a Very Fast Ice Legendary hero, she was designed to be a blitzkrieg attackerβ€”hitting hard, hitting fast, and making sure the enemy team regrets bringing a healer.

While the "Clash of Knights" event often feels like a medieval fever dream (Bears vs. Stags vs. Wolves vs. Ravens?), Siofra stands out with her elegant yet deadly kit. She’s a pure offensive tempo controller, stripping the enemy of their offensive power and their ability to recover.

Siofra

Hero Art & Visuals

Siofra sports a high-fantasy aesthetic that screams "Don't mess with the forest." She dons ornate golden armor with a prominent stag motif, including a helmet that essentially gives her a second set of antlers. The blue cape flows dramatically, signaling her Ice element. It’s a regal, commanding lookβ€”she looks less like a soldier and more like the queen of the hunt who just spotted you stepping on a twig.

Stat Analysis in the Modern Era: Let's address the elephant (or stag) in the room. Siofra was released in 2024 with a base power of 1060. In the current meta of early 2026, where new heroes like Jwala and Telonius are pushing 1260+ base power, Siofra is undeniably showing her age.

  • Attack (1091): Still respectable for a sniper, but modern attackers are pushing 1300+.
  • Defense (1062) & Health (1831): This is where she feels fragile. Modern tanks and bruisers sit at 1300 Defense and 2200+ Health.

Verdict: Siofra relies heavily on her Very Fast speed to fire before the stat disparity gets her killed. She is a "glass cannon" by 2026 standards, requiring Limit Breaks (and maybe even a Master Emblem) to survive a hit from the latest Construct or Astral heroes.

Special Skill: Gilded Antlers

Gilded Antlers

Mana Speed
Very Fast
  • Deals 290% damage to the target and nearby enemies.
  • The attack bypasses defensive buffs. This includes counterattacks.
  • The target and nearby enemies get -40% attack for 3 turns. The attack decreases by -5% each turn, up to -50%.
  • The target and nearby enemies get -80% decrease for any healing received for 3 turns.
⚑ Tile Breakpoints Guide
6.5Base Tiles
9% Bonus
6Tiles

Skill Analysis: "Gilded Antlers" is a high-pressure skill designed to cripple the enemy's sustain.

  1. Speed Kills: At Very Fast, she can charge in 6 tiles with a simple level 11 mana troop (or even less with costume bonuses/emblems on support). This allows her to fire twice before average heroes fire once.
  2. The Bypass: Bypassing defensive buffs (including counterattacks!) is massive. It means Boril, Elena, or modern gargoyles can't hide behind their buffs. She hits raw flesh every time.
  3. The Double Debuff: She doesn't just hit; she neuters. The -40% Attack (scaling to -50%) significantly softens the blow from enemy snipers.
  4. Healing Shutdown: The -80% healing reduction is the crown jewel. In a meta dominated by heavy healers and boosters, making them heal for essentially zero effectively deletes a hero slot on the enemy team for 3 turns.

By the Numbers

  • Mana Speed: Very Fast (6.5 tiles).
    • Optimal Breakpoint: You only need +9% mana generation to drop her to 6 tiles (2 matches). This is easily achievable with a Level 11 Mana Troop or the Barbarian emblem node + a Level 5 troop.
  • Damage Potential:
    • 1091 Attack x 290% = 3,163 Raw Damage Factor.
    • Hitting 3 targets = 9,490 Total Output.
    • Comparison: While modern snipers hit harder on a single target, Siofra's total output at 6 tiles is still very efficient.
  • Healing Denial:
    • A 1000 HP heal becomes a 200 HP heal. This turns a game-changing heal into a minor scratch.

Family Bonus, Passives, Aether Power & Unique Abilities

Family Bonus

Alliance - Stags
Family Bonus

Alliance - Stags

  • Heroes become stronger when teamed with other unique Heroes of the same family.
  • Bonus for 1/2/3 Heroes:
  • * All received attack status ailments will be replaced by a +40%/+60%/+70% attack buff for 3 turns.
  • The members of this family have additional perks in the Clash of Knights event.

Analysis: The Stag Family bonus is a fantastic defensive tool. Instead of suffering an Attack Down ailment (like from an enemy Siofra or attack debuffers), she flips it into an Attack Buff. This makes her naturally resistant to one of the most common forms of crowd control.

Passives

Passive Icon
Inherent Abilities

Passive Skills

  • Health Recovery on Buff Received
This character recovers 5% health when they receive a buff or a positive stack.

Analysis: recovering 5% health on a buff is a nice sustain tool. Since she is Very Fast, if you pair her with frequent buffers (like 3-turn attack buffers), she can keep her health topped up, mitigating her lower base HP.

Aether Power

Attack Up
Aether Power

Attack Up

At the start of each battle, this Hero gets 20% attack for 6 turns

In battles with multiple waves, the effect is refreshed at the beginning of each wave.

Analysis: Attack Up is the perfect choice for her. Since her primary job is to deal damage and bypass defenses, a raw 20% boost to her Attack stat for the first 6 turns makes her opening salvo much more threatening.

Legacy & Modern Relevance

  • Historical Context: Upon release, Siofra was a top-tier flank. Her speed allowed her to punish bad boards immediately, and her anti-heal was a direct counter to the "over-healer" meta of 2024.
  • Power Creep: As noted, her stats have fallen behind. She takes damage very poorly now. However, Very Fast speed never goes out of style. A 6-tile break is a fundamental mechanic that keeps older heroes relevant long after their stats fade.
  • Modern Viability:
    • Viable in offensive stacks where speed is key.
    • Niche in defense. She is too squishy for the main Tank/Flank spots in top-100 wars but remains excellent for mid-tier wars and tournaments.

Costume & Costume Bonus

At the time of this review, Siofra does not have a costume.

Emblem Path Analysis

Siofra is a Barbarian. This class offers the Wound effect (Bleed damage), which synergizes well with her "death by a thousand cuts" playstyle.

  • Path: Attack > Defense > Health
  • Pros: Maximizes the damage of her 290% hit. At Very Fast speed, you want every hit to count.
  • Cons: She remains fragile.

The Survivalist

  • Path: Defense > Health > Attack
  • Pros: Helps her survive one extra slash from a modern sniper.
  • Cons: Her damage output drops, and she might not hit hard enough to secure a kill.

Final Recommendation

Go full Attack. Siofra isn't built to tank; she's built to kill. If she's taking hits, you're already losing. Maximize her threat level.

Strengths

  • Blistering Speed: 6-tile charge is the gold standard for offense.
  • Buff Bypass: Ignores Defense Up, Counterattack, and Elemental Barriers.
  • Healer Neutralization: -80% healing received is almost as good as a healing block.
  • Ailment Flip: Turning Attack Down into Attack Up can surprise enemies.

Weaknesses

  • Aging Stats: Her survivability is low compared to 2026 heroes.
  • Hit-3 Limitation: She leaves the wings untouched, which can be an issue against wing-hiding revivers.
  • Debuff Dependence: Her utility relies on the enemy needing to heal or attack. Cleanse-heavy teams can wipe her effects quickly.

Best Game Modes

  • Rush Attack (Wars/Tournaments): Ironically, she is worse in Rush because everyone is Very Fast. She shines in Standard modes where she has a speed advantage.
  • Bloody Battle: She is okay here for damage, but her anti-heal is useless.
  • Buff Booster: Excellent. Her passive heals her when she gets buffs, and her speed allows her to abuse the tournament rules.
  • War Offense: A staple for Blue stacks (e.g., 3-2 or 4-1) to pick off the tank and flanks early.

Advanced Strategy & Team Compositions

Sample Team Ideas

  1. The "Blue Blitz" (Standard Raid):
    • Composition: Kiril (Costume) + Siofra + Waterpipe + Sobek + Miriam
    • Strategy: Use Siofra to soften the center. Follow up with Sobek for the kill. Kiril buffs attack (triggering Siofra's passive heal).
  2. The Anti-Heal Lock:
    • Composition: Siofra + Guan Yu + Set
    • Strategy: Layer Siofra's -80% healing with other healing reduction or blocks to ensure the enemy HP bar only goes down, never up.

Counters & Anti-Synergies

  • Cleansers: Heroes like Vivica or Ariel who can cleanse her Attack Down and Healing Down debuffs neuter her utility (if they can fire).
  • Monks/Clerics: Passive resistance to her ailments can ruin your plan.
  • Taunt: While she hits 3, a Taunt hero creates a bottleneck. However, if she targets the Taunter, she effectively shuts down their healing support.

Advice for New Players

If you pulled Siofra, celebrate! She is an incredible asset for map stages and early raiding. Her speed will teach you the value of "ghosting" tiles to charge in 6 moves. Prioritize her leveling immediately.

Advice for Veterans

She is a "luxury" depth hero for War attacks. She doesn't make the cut for the primary Defense team anymore, and she might struggle in top-tier PVP against the newest 1500+ Power monsters. However, she is arguably one of the best counters to "stall" defenses that rely on heavy healing. Don't Limit Break her a second time unless you specifically lack fast Blue damage.

Community Corner: Hot Takes & History

The community reaction to Siofra was mixed but generally positive upon release.

  • β€œShe seems to be the perfect Lodius-Counter… and since I got her with a ten pull, the reroll-time for that damn owl is finally over.” – A relieved raider.
  • β€œShe is overpowered. No doubt!” – Early impressions often called her OP due to the Very Fast speed.
  • β€œI fear the new minion/fiend buffs are going to make damage dealers like this obsolete.” – A prophetic concern about the shifting meta toward heavy overheal/minion shields.

Final Thoughts

Siofra is like a classic sports car: sleek, fast, and exciting, even if it doesn't have the horsepower of the brand-new hypercars. Her Very Fast engine is her saving grace, ensuring that she can still race circles around slower, albeit stronger, opponents.

The combination of Bypass and Healing Reduction means she remains a tactical nuke. Use her to surgically remove a tank or flank before the enemy engine starts running. She might not be the queen of the forest anymore, but she’s certainly still dangerous enough to be respected.

Bottom Line: A viable, high-speed sniper for offensive stacks, though she requires protection due to aging stats.
