Xiamara: The Scaling Stag of Destruction
Overview
Xiamara is a 5-star Nature (Green) hero from the Clash of Knights Alliance Quest event. Released in late 2023, she belongs to the noble Stag Family. In a game dominated by instant gratification, Xiamara asks for a little patienceβand rewards it with absolute devastation. She is a "Hit All" damage dealer who functions as a ramping threat; leave her alive long enough to fire twice, and you likely won't have a team left to regret it. She also introduces a unique "Mana Corruption" mechanic that turns your enemies' greed for mana into their downfall.

Hero Art & Visuals
Xiamara's design is high fantasy at its finest. Adorned in emerald and gold armor with majestic antlers crowning her head, she looks every bit the "Guardian of the Emerald Forest." She holds a massive banner-staff that probably weighs more than most 3-star heroes. The art conveys a sense of regal authority and calm before the stormβwhich is fitting, considering her special skill starts manageable and ends in a cataclysm. Itβs a nice break from the "spiky bits everywhere" aesthetic of the Goblin village.

Hero Stats
Xiamara's stats were impressive upon release but now face the harsh reality of late-stage power creep.
Base Stats (No Emblems)
| Level | Attack | Defense | Health | πͺPower |
|---|---|---|---|---|
4/80 | 1044 | 935 | 1629 | 980 |
4/85lb1 | 1125 | 1007 | 1756 | 1046 |
4/90lb2 | 1287 | 1153 | 2009 | 1179 |
Stat Analysis & Modern Benchmarks: When compared to the latest monsters of late 2025 (who boast base stats around 1300 Attack / 1300 Defense / 2200 Health), Xiamara is undeniably showing her age.
- Attack: Her base attack (1044) is decent but no longer elite.
- Survivability: This is the danger zone. Her defense (935) and Health (1629) are significantly lower than modern standards. A fully Limit Broken (LB2) Xiamara has stats roughly equivalent to a non-limit broken modern hero. She is "squishy" by today's metric and requires protection (Taunt, Defense Up) to survive long enough to do her job.
Special Skill: Power of the Forest

Power of the Forest
- Deals 300% damage to all enemies.
- The caster gets additional +100% power for the next Special Skill they cast. The additional power increases +25% each turn, up to a maximum of +200% in total.
- All enemies receive Mana Corruption for 4 turns. Each time an afflicted enemy receives mana from an additional source, they receive 400 damage. Additional sources include direct mana addition from Special Skills, status effects, level properties, passive skills, family effects, tile effects and Minions. Mana added for defense team at the end of their turn or from matching tiles is included only if the target has a mana generation bufff or a posive mana generation stack.
Skill Analysis: This skill is a two-part engine of destruction.
- The Ramp: The initial 300% hit to all enemies is "okay"βit softens the field. However, the magic happens on the second cast. The caster gets +100% power immediately for the next cast, increasing by 25% per turn up to +200%. This means her second shot deals between 400% to 500% damage to ALL enemies. Even with outdated stats, a 500% AoE hit is usually a team wipe.
- The Punishment: Mana Corruption is a fascinating control tool. It deals 400 damage (fixed) whenever an enemy receives mana from extra sources (buffs, minions, passives). It does NOT trigger on normal tile gain unless the enemy has a mana generation buff active. This makes her a hard counter to heavy mana-boosting teams (e.g., Hippos, Ludwig, Waterpipe minions).
By the Numbers
Let's look at the math behind the forest's fury.
- Mana Speed: Average (10 tiles). With a Level 23 Mana Troop or Level 11 Magic/Styx troop + Class/Costume bonuses (she has no costume yet), she can reach 9 tiles.
- Damage Potential:
- First Cast: ~300% damage. On a 1287 Attack (LB2) vs 1500 Defense enemy, this is a moderate slap.
- Second Cast (Max Charge): ~500% damage. This is massive. It creates a "doomsday clock" for the opponent.
- Mana Corruption Impact: 400 fixed damage per trigger. Against a hero like Ludwig or Xnolphod (if anyone still uses him), this can trigger multiple times, dealing 800-1200 extra damage without Xiamara lifting a finger.
Family Bonus, Passives, Aether Power & Unique Abilities
The Stag family offers great utility, specifically targeting one of the most annoying debuffs in the game: Attack Down.
Family Bonus

Alliance - Stags
- Heroes become stronger when teamed with other unique Heroes of the same family.
- Bonus for 1/2/3 Heroes:
- * All received attack status ailments will be replaced by a +40%/+60%/+70% attack buff for 3 turns.
- The members of this family have additional perks in the Clash of Knights event.
Analysis: This is excellent. Attack Down ailments (from heroes like C.Kadilen, various Barbarians, etc.) are flipped into an Attack Buff. This ensures Xiamara's second hit isn't neutered by a debuff right before she fires.
Passives
Passive Skills
Health Recovery on Buff ReceivedThis character recovers 5% health when they receive a buff or a positive stack.
Analysis: Xiamara is a Cleric, and this passive adds to her sustain. 5% health isn't huge, but in a buff-heavy team (e.g., with buffs from herself or allies), it adds up, helping mitigate her lower health pool.
Aether Power

Ailment Immunity
At the start of each battle, this Hero is immune to new status ailments for 6 turns.
Analysis: Ailment Immunity for the first 6 turns is arguably the best Aether Power for her. It guarantees she doesn't get Silenced, Mindless Attacked, or Defense Downed before she can charge her first engine. It protects her "ramp up" phase perfectly.
Legacy & Modern Relevance
- Historical Context: Upon release, Xiamara was a top-tier damage dealer. Players compared her favorably to Quenell, but with the added benefit of hitting everyone immediately rather than hitting 3. She was a premier "finisher."
- Power Creep Analysis: The damage percentages (300% -> 500%) have aged gracefully; 500% to all is still top-tier damage. However, her stats have not. She dies much faster now. The Mana Corruption mechanic remains unique and effective against specific modern mana-spamming meta heroes.
- Modern Viability Verdict: Viable but Niche. She is no longer a "set and forget" defense hero because she is too easy to kill before she fires twice. However, on Offense, especially in Rush Wars or against passive teams that allow her to charge, she is still a nuclear option. She is a tactical nuke that needs a delivery system (protection).
Costume & Costume Bonus
As of this review, Xiamara does not have a costume.
Emblem Path Analysis
Xiamara's role is simple: Survive long enough to fire twice. However, her damage potential is her main asset.
The Balanced Bruiser (Recommended)
- Path: Defense > Health > Attack
- Pros: Maximizes her lower defense/HP stats to ensure she survives the 10+ turns needed to fire her second devastating shot.
- Cons: Sacrifices some raw damage on the first hit.
The Glass Cannon
- Path: Attack > Defense > Health
- Pros: Maximizes the 500% multiplier impact.
- Cons: She might die to a stiff breeze or a few stray slash attacks before doing her job.
Final Recommendation
For most players, the Balanced Bruiser (Defense/Health focus) path is recommended. A dead Xiamara deals 0% damage. Her multipliers are high enough that she will kill things even without full attack emblems, provided she stays alive.
Strengths
- Team Wiping Potential: Her second cast is one of the hardest hitting AoE skills in the game.
- Anti-Mana Synergy: Punishes mana buffers severely with fixed damage.
- Resilience to Debuffs: Stag family makes her immune to Attack Down, and LB2 makes her immune to everything else for 6 turns.
- Sustain: Passive healing on buffs helps keep her topped up.
Weaknesses
- Squishy Stats: Significantly lower stats than modern 2025/2026 heroes make her a liability on defense.
- Slow Ramp Up: Requires firing twice to reach full potential. In fast metas, the match is often decided before an Average hero fires twice.
- Dispellable: Her power boost is a buff that can theoretically be dispelled (though often difficult to time).
Best Game Modes
- Rush Attack/War: This is her playground. At Very Fast speed, she can fire her first and second shots in rapid succession, wiping the enemy team before they can settle in.
- PvE / Towers: Excellent for waves where you can charge her up on easier enemies and unleash a 500% nuke on the boss wave.
- Offensive Raids: Great against "stall" teams or teams relying heavily on mana generation buffs (Hippo, etc.).
Advanced Strategy & Team Compositions
You need to build around her. She is the payload; bring the truck to carry her.
Sample Team Ideas
- The "Stay Alive" Turtle:
- Ludwig/Phorcys (Tank) + Xiamara (Flank): A taunt hero protects Xiamara while she charges. Ludwig specifically boosts her mana, helping her cycle to that second cast faster.
- The Double Tap:
- Xnolphod/Toxicandra + Xiamara: Mana boosters help her fire faster. Note that Xnolphod's mana boost works well with her.
- The Green Machine (EDD):
- Evelyn/Almur + Xiamara: Elemental Defense Down allows even her first 300% hit to be lethal, removing the need for the second cast entirely.
Counters & Anti-Synergies
- Counters: Mana Controllers (Luna, Xia, Bubbles) who stop her from firing. High Burst Snipers who can one-shot her due to her lower defense. Dis-pellers who strip her power boost before she casts the second time.
- Anti-Synergy: Do not pair her with heroes that overwrite her own buffs with weaker versions, though this is rare for her specific self-buffs.
Advice for New Players
If you pulled Xiamara, you have a gem. Even with "outdated" stats, she will carry you through almost all Map Stages and Quests. Her AoE damage is fantastic for farming. Prioritize keeping her alive with healers and defense buffers.
Advice for Veterans
She is a luxury tool. Do not put her on defense; she will be hunted. Use her in Rush Wars or as a specialized counter to heavy mana-buff teams. Is she worth Alpha Aethers? Maybe. The Ailment Immunity is crucial for her survival, but if you have the latest 2026 OP hero, the Aethers might be better spent there. She is a solid "B-Team" war hero now.
Community Corner: Hot Takes & History
The community has always had a soft spot for the "Stag scaling" mechanic.
- βEnjoy her in this state while you can. Overpowered.β - A player at launch (October 2023). History proves she wasn't nerfed, but power creep did the job for them.
- βI massively overlooked this... itβs for normal mana increase if they have a mana gen buff too... thatβs a great secondary skill.β - A player realizing the potential of her Mana Corruption.
- The comparison to Quenell was constant, with Xiamara generally considered the "modern" (at the time) upgrade due to hitting all enemies.
Final Thoughts
Xiamara is a hero who demands respect but requires a chaperone. She hits like a truck... a truck from 2023, but a truck nonetheless. If you can keep her standing long enough to cycle her special, she remains one of the most satisfying "board clearers" in the game. While the shiny new toys of 2026 might outstat her, few can match the sheer satisfaction of that second "Power of the Forest" cast flattening an entire enemy team.
Verdict: A powerful but fragile cannon. Keep her polished for Rush Wars and specific counters.
